Sibusiso Skhosana from Soshanguve, better known to the audience as Sba Pioneer, is a trap producer influenced by South African Barcadi music and Trap. Sibusiso took interest in music at the age of 9 years in 2003 when his brother brought Ejay home on a CD and they started making loops together. In 2011 he made his first beat as Sba Pioneer the producer, later that year joining UNISA Soshanguve Music Ochrim to study music theory under the late virtuoso Tebogo Blos.

Type of music

Being a piano enthusiast Sba's music always has traces of keys in it - most of his compositions have a slow tempo, bouncy drum patterns and vibey melodie or at times sweet piano melodies accompanied by throbbing 808s.

Musical Career

2011 - 2012

Sba founded a record label called Salute Entertainment in 2011 and later signed Saadiq Ali Mand a rap trio called Koncept Kiingz which included Die Mondez, Zooci Coke Dope and K2 to the stable. The stable was disbanded early 2012.

After a stint in management, Sba formed a rap crew in 2012 called J.U.I.C.E for whom he would soley produce for, among the crew was Mellow Don Picasso. The crew were later nominated in Hype Magazine's new comer's delight feature section where they competed alongside other upcoming at the time including Gigi Lamayne.

2013 - 2018

Between 2014 and 2018 he worked at The Big Owen Entertainment as an in-house producer for the stable. He produced trap beats for Tony Chopper x Erny Sosa and various other artists within the stable. In 2016 they released Free Mashobane which caused a bit of a wave in the streets then followed that release with an EP title "B4MOB" which is available online to this day on YouTube Music and Audiomack.

During that period he was also a selector for Flame Grillah, who opened doors for him to meet Black Motion's Thabo Smol and DJ Buckz. During this period Sba produced "Ke Wete" by Flame Grillah which featured DJ Buckz and Frost.

2019 - Present

After leaving TBO Entertainment, Sba joined Creative Artitude as senior producer and started working with Eastside Invasion rap group. Currently he is close to releasing a joint mixtape with his childhood friend and longtime associate M4 title "Trap Kapa Kapa". The project contains street anthem "Di Dollar", slow jams like "Kgale Ke Gyma" and a heartfelt song titled "Tshepo" and "Skeema Malome" which already has a music video.
